Venturing Into the World of eDesign

A Passion for Interior Design

Creating thoughtful interiors has always been my passion. As with many designers, I have always made a habit of endlessly rearranging my bedroom, along with many other rooms in our house. But life took me in another direction for a while.

I officially began my interior design career in 2008, after working in management for some time. When the design company I was working for was bought by another, it was my husband who suggested I go back to school for interior design. I agreed, and I haven't looked back since!

Why I Love What I Do

I really enjoy creating unique spaces for my local, full-service clients. Redesigning interior spaces requires a lot of planning, out-of-the-box thinking, and a whole lot of trust. I like the challenge of creating new functions and flow in an existing home, and also the endless possibilities of working with new spaces.

But all of the hard work is worth it - every time. I love seeing their faces when it all comes together - when they realize we've created a space that truly brings out their personalities and personal styles.

There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction that comes with making a client’s dream space into a reality. Whether it’s selecting paint colors and décor, or managing the details of full-scale remodel and new construction projects - I genuinely love helping clients bring their home design visions to life.

A Little Art Here. A Little Organization There.

I believe that my mix of passion for design, combined with a management frame of mind is what makes my design services a little different than some others in the industry. My previous career background in management has helped me to develop the customer service, communication and troubleshooting skills necessary to manage design projects in a timely and efficient manner.

I have been a Real Estate Broker for 21 years and need to tell you how excited I was working with Anne. What I learned through the process is that homes are like most people – they have their own personalities and style. Homes show much better with just the right furniture and accessories. Selling a “naked” home is very difficult, even if it is new construction, because most people cannot visualize what it will look like furnished. That is why her services are so valuable! Her attention to detail and professionalism are unmatched. Most importantly, the staging helped me receive a full price offer for a home (that had previously been on the market for many months) during the first weekend it was on the market after being staged by Anne! I definitely feel that this was the key in selling the home.

Time for a Redesign...of My Business

I have been decorating and designing interiors for the past 12 years now. For several years, I was working closely with a business partner, and also formed a strong business relationship with another interior design company. In addition to this business, I also run a staging and design business, through which I offer staging services for both realtors and homeowners. I also provide project management services, color consultations, and recommendations for finishes and styles, etc. for building developers and homeowners.

In the fall of 2019, my long-time business partner decided to take her career in another direction, but I was committed to staying in the interior design industry. I considered all kinds of ways to reframe my business, and eDesign and virtual staging caught my interest. The more I learned about it, the more I wanted to move in that direction.

I found an amazing edesign mentor and invested a significant amount of time and effort into learning all about this new area of my industry. I still have so much to learn, but I have already learned so much, and I am loving the challenge of trying something completely new.

Why I’m Loving eDesign

I love that with eDesign, I can create from anywhere. I can help local clients design their dream spaces, and at the same time, I can share my expertise with clients all over the country, and even the world. One of the coolest things about eDesign is that the process can take place whenever - and wherever - it’s convenient for everyone involved. And during a time when we’re doing just about everything else virtually, it feels like the perfect time to dive into the world of eDesign.

But, how can I design a room I’ve never physically stepped inside of? That is the beauty of eDesign. Using modern technology to share concept boards, floorplans, and shopping lists, we’ll create a digital rendering of your space, complete with all of the colors, styles, furniture, and other design pieces of your choice. If you’re interested in learning more about eDesign and Virtual Staging services, I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.

Moving into a new house with 38 windows to treat was pretty overwhelming to say the least.  Working with Anne was the best decision we made.  I had no idea where to begin.  She took each room and came up with a plan that was best for those windows based on the use of the room and location.  After living in the house for six years, I know that the choices were perfect for the day to day usage of each room.  I love all of the treatments we used and would highly recommend Anne to help you with a big job or just one window.  She really knows how to point you in the right direction.
